Sir Cliff Richard launches campaign to make chart history

Veteran star Sir Cliff Richard has launched a campaign to make chart history - by claiming a UK Number One single for the sixth decade running.


The singer began his run of hits in September 1958 with 'Move It', and now a modern song, 'Thank You For A Lifetime', is being released adjacent month to mark the 50th anniversary.


He told the BBC: "I may be greedy, merely to nick up a number one after 50 years would be precisely fantastic. I've got the song, I can but hope for the support."

'Living Doll' was the star's first Number One the following yr, and he has since had 13 further chart-toppers, the concluding one existence 'The Millennium Prayer' in 1999.


An eight-disc retrospective that is besides due out next month, and the star's autobiography is due to be published at the same time.
